Introduction<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this case study, we will present theTerritorial Tourism Development Plan \u2013 PDTT Nova Trento<\/strong>, <\/strong>This project was executed by Girus Solu\u00e7\u00f5es e Turismo, through a partnership between the Municipality of Nova Trento, the Brazilian Service for Support to Micro and Small Enterprises \u2013 SEBRAE\/SC, and the Ministry of Tourism \u2013 MTUR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delivered in 2020, the Nova Trento PDTT (Tourism Development Plan) was developed with the main objective of boosting tourism in a structured and sustainable way, valuing the cultural and religious attractions that characterize the municipality of Nova Trento. The study sought to strengthen the local tourism potential through strategies to improve infrastructure and basic services, tourism marketing, institutional strengthening, socio-environmental sustainability, and the tourism products offered in Nova Trento. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The context<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located approximately 90 km from the capital Florian\u00f3polis, the municipality of Nova Trento in Santa Catarina stands out for its strong Italian cultural heritage, expressed in its architecture, gastronomy, and religious traditions. Considered one of the main destinations for religious tourism in Santa Catarina and Brazil, Nova Trento is home to two sanctuaries: the Sanctuary of Saint Paulina, the first Brazilian saint, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Good Help, located atop a hill, offering a privileged view of the municipality's territory.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to religious tourism and ethnic-cultural tourism, Nova Trento also stands out for its offering of experiences related to wine tourism and gastronomic tourism, with a focus on wines, cheeses, and cured meats produced in the municipality. Finally, the mountainous landscapes, preserved areas of the Atlantic Forest, and rural properties make Nova Trento an attractive destination for lovers of ecotourism and rural tourism (agritourism). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the main attractions that draw a considerable number of visitors throughout the year, the following stand out: the Sanctuary of Santa Paulina, Al Fero Birrificio, the Santa Paulina Trail, the Santa Paulina Trail \u2013 Amabil\u00edssimo, the Santa Paulina Mechanized Life Scene, Morro da Cruz, the Santa Paulina Museum, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Good Help, the Girola Winery, among others.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Girus Solu\u00e7\u00f5es em Turismo's role in strengthening tourism planning and management in Nova Trento. <\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the aim of promoting the development of tourism in Nova Trento, the team of consultants from Girus Solu\u00e7\u00f5es em Turismo prepared a detailed diagnosis of the infrastructure, institutional framework, socio-environmental aspects and tourism in the municipality, identifying positive and negative aspects that influence the development of tourism activity in the destination.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the scope of work included the development of a set of strategies and actions to promote the sustainable development of tourism in Nova Trento, encompassing the following thematic areas: Infrastructure (10 actions), Tourism Product (8 actions), Tourism Marketing (2 actions), Socio-environmental Sustainability (3 actions), and Strengthening the Institutional Framework (4 actions).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Results<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

O Territorial Tourism Development Plan \u2013 PDTT Nova Trento<\/strong>, The document, delivered in mid-2020, was recognized as an essential instrument for local tourism development, guiding the actions of the municipal tourism agency, businesses, and the entire community. trade<\/em> The tourism sector is working towards making Nova Trento a destination capable of offering visitors innovative and memorable tourist experiences.
