The tool not only defines priority areas for actions and investments, but also allows municipalities to be categorized according to their economic performance related to tourism, promoting efficiency in tourism management and planning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements to be included in the Brazilian Tourism Map:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Any Brazilian municipality can be included in the Map, as long as it meets the criteria established by... <strong>Ministerial Decree No. 41\/2021<\/strong>. These criteria were developed in partnership with the Federative Units, and states may define additional requirements. Among the mandatory requirements, the following stand out:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Organizational structure<\/strong>The municipality must have a municipal tourism department or secretariat.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Financial planning<\/strong>You must provide proof of budget allocation for tourism, as stipulated in the Annual Budget Law (LOA).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Registration in CADASTUR<\/strong>: To have at least one tourism service provider registered and in good standing in the Ministry of Tourism&#039;s Registry of Tourism Service Providers.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Active local governance<\/strong>It is essential to maintain an active Municipal Tourism Council or Municipal Tourism Forum, by presenting the normative act that established it, the minutes of the inauguration of its current board of directors, and the minutes of the last two meetings held.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Commitment agreement<\/strong>The Mayor and the manager responsible for the municipal tourism agency need to formally adhere to... <strong>Tourism Regionalization Program<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Methodology for categorizing the Brazilian Tourism Map<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The municipalities included in the Map are categorized into five levels: A, B, C, D, or E, based on quantitative indicators that reflect the impact of tourism on the local economy. Among the main factors analyzed are:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Number of lodging establishments and jobs generated by them (<strong>Source: RAIS<\/strong>).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Estimated number of domestic and international visitors (<strong>Source: MTur\/FIPE Studies<\/strong>).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collection of federal taxes generated by lodging establishments (<strong>Source: Brazilian Federal Revenue Service<\/strong>).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Brazilian Tourism Map figures for 2024<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment, <strong>2,242 Brazilian municipalities<\/strong> They are part of the Map, distributed in <strong>324 tourist regions<\/strong>. These numbers highlight the scope and relevance of the initiative in promoting regional and national development. <strong>State of Santa Catarina<\/strong> It is one of the national highlights, with <strong>159 municipalities included<\/strong> on the Brazilian Tourism Map.
