It boosts the economy, promotes local development, and provides enriching cultural experiences. However, for it to be truly transformative, it must also be ethical, safe, and committed to human rights\u2014especially the protection of children and adolescents.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, child sexual exploitation is still a reality in Brazil, and the travel and tourism sector can, directly or indirectly, serve as a context for this type of violation. That is precisely why the involvement of the tourism industry is essential to confronting and preventing this serious problem.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that in mind, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/turismo\/pt-br\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/turismo\/pt-br\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ministry of Tourism<\/a><\/strong>, In partnership with the Federal Institute of Bras\u00edlia, the organization developed the Multiplier&#039;s Manual and launched the Brazil Code of Conduct, a voluntary adherence instrument that guides and commits companies and professionals in the tourism sector to adopting effective practices against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Among the commitments proposed by the Code are:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To prevent the lodging of minors unaccompanied by their legal guardians.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To train tourism professionals on the risks and signs of sexual exploitation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inform tourists about the company&#039;s prevention policy.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Require contractual clauses with suppliers that include a commitment to the Code.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Widely publicize reporting channels, such as the hotline 100 and the Protect Brazil app.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Girus Solu\u00e7\u00f5es em Turismo is proud to announce that it has already signed the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.codigodeconduta.turismo.gov.br\/index.php\/pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.codigodeconduta.turismo.gov.br\/index.php\/pt\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Terms of Commitment to the Brazilian Code of Conduct<\/a><\/strong>. We believe that responsible tourism goes beyond economic and environmental sustainability\u2014it begins with ethics and care for people. The process is simple, free, and can be done digitally using an electronic signature via the Gov.br platform. By joining, the company commits to concrete prevention actions and becomes part of a national network to combat the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in tourism.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite all companies, professionals, and managers in the sector to join the... <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.codigodeconduta.turismo.gov.br\/index.php\/pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.codigodeconduta.turismo.gov.br\/index.php\/pt\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Code of Conduct Brazil<\/a><\/strong>.
