Garopaba was the first destination in Santa Catarina to receive the Visit More, Girus Soluções em Turismo is a digital solution developed to connect visitors, attractions, and public management within a single ecosystem. Just a few months after implementation, the numbers already demonstrate the tool's potential: in a single week, the municipality registered... 177 check-ins e 96 unique visitors, with 93 points NPS e 3.9 average satisfaction rating on a scale of 4.
What is Visit More?
Visit More is a PWA (Progressive Web App) An intelligent system that combines visitor experience and data intelligence for destination management, without requiring an app download.
In practice, it works on two fronts:
1. Visitor experience: By pointing their cell phone at the QR Code installed on the tourist information signs scattered throughout the municipality's attractions, visitors can access a personalized page with texts, photos, videos, interesting facts, and suggested itineraries for that location. The platform also features ratings, rankings, and gamification, encouraging visitors to explore more attractions and stay longer in the destination.
2. Intelligence for managers: Every tourist interaction—a check-in, a review, a journey between attractions—generates data. This data feeds into the... Tourism Analytics, a Business Intelligence panel that provides public managers with real-time indicators: executive dashboard, heat map of the most accessed attractions, sentiment and satisfaction analysis, return and engagement rate, average visit time, and health of each registered attraction.

Why was Garopaba the first to implement it?
The implementation of the Visit More program in Garopaba is part of a broader tourism qualification process conducted by Girus, through an agreement with the... SEBRAE/SC and the Municipality of Garopaba. The challenge was common to many destinations: the municipality has a significant natural and cultural heritage—beaches, trails, tourist routes, historical sites—but public management lacked real visibility into how, when, and where tourists actually circulated.
Girus's response was to transform the tourist signage infrastructure itself into a data channel: the interpretive signs installed at the attractions began to integrate QR codes connected to the platform. Thus, each new sign placed in the field is not only an information point for the tourist—it is also a new intelligence sensor for the Tourism Secretariat. Today, Garopaba already has... 40 active attractions with QR Codes already installed and another 14 are in production.

The results in Garopaba
The most recent data from Visite Mais in Garopaba, referring to the week of June 23-29, 2026, shows a platform that is already well-established as a management tool:
- 177 check-ins e 96 unique visitors During the week, there was a jump of more than 1,200 TP3T compared to the previous period — driven by the inauguration event of the cycling tourism circuit held on June 28th, which alone accounted for 92.71 TP3T of all the week's traffic;
- NPS of +93 e Average satisfaction rating of 3.9 out of 4, indicating an experience that was very well rated by visitors;
- Rate of return of 57.3% e engagement rate of 59.4%, with the visitor staying on average 46 minutes between one registration and another on the QR codes and performing 1.8 check-in per visit;
- 98% of visitors originating from Santa Catarina, which reinforces the platform's role in understanding and activating regional/local tourism;
- Mapping of behavioral profiles: 43% of “Curious Discoverers” (explore 2 to 4 attractions), 43% of “Single Visit”, and a segment of loyal visitors and more engaged explorers — information that the Tourism Secretariat can use to design specific campaigns for each profile;
- Identification of strategic routes, with the possibility of tracking which routes visitors most frequently take between attractions, their average duration, and their level of satisfaction along each stretch.

Beyond the success figures, the dashboard also highlights, with the same transparency, areas of concern—such as a temporary drop in visitor registration rates during peak event traffic, or pending operational alerts at attractions. It is precisely this type of real-time analysis that gives public management the ability to act quickly: adjust signage, simplify registration, reinforce areas with lower conversion rates—decisions that previously depended on time-consuming, one-off surveys, and which are now available at any time on the Visite Mais dashboard.

A smarter and more connected destination
The case of Garopaba shows how Visite Mais goes far beyond a specific event: the platform encompasses all the attractions of the municipality — beaches, trails, routes, historical heritage — and transforms each QR Code installed in the field into a continuous source of data and experience.
For visitors, it's a simple way to discover more about a destination without needing to download an app. For public administration, it's the possibility of seeing local tourism in real time and making decisions based on evidence, not estimates.
With the support of SEBRAE/SC and the Municipal Government, Garopaba is consolidating itself as a benchmark in innovation and smart tourism management in Santa Catarina — and Girus continues to advance in its mission of uniting technology, sustainability, and data intelligence to boost Brazilian tourism.
